Case Study: Latitude

Location: Henham Country Park, Suffolk.

Client: Festival Republic.

Equipment: helter skelter, children’s carousel, swingboats, coconut shy, Big Wheel.

What we do: For over ten years we have supplied Festival Republic with the funfair element for Latitude. We take care of all logistics, to and from the site, as well as the set up, de-rig, and operation of all of our attractions. We work closely with FR in the build up to the event, ensuring they have all of our safety and insurance certification. We also work through our load in schedule with them, and ensure all of our personnel are on their system, and ready for accreditation when they arrive on site.

The build, and operation at Latitude is quite challenging for us. It is a big site, and we operate in two locations; helter skelter and carousel in the kids field, and Ferris wheel, swingboats, and coconut shy in the family camping field. Both areas have different open and close times, and both areas are busy at different times of the day and night. We split our team into two groups to cover both areas, and have a floor manager, that moves between the two, ensuring any problems are swiftly overcome.

Along with the pink sheep, our Helter skelter has become one of the iconic features of the festival, and we absolutely love being part of the Latitude family. We take great pride in thinking we have helped the festival become one of the highlights of the calendar, and we are also extremely proud to have had a hand in Latitude winning numerous awards over the years, particularly for the family area, and family camping.
