We are pleased to say that we have two fine examples of this traditional Christmas ride here at the Great British Funfair.

Our no.1 sleigh ride was made by Modern Products, and in its first life, featured four passenger carrying foxes, chasing four swans around the track. It had lost its roof, and rounding boards, and the decoration was quite drab. We saw the potential to repurpose the ride into a Christmas themed attraction. The foxes and swans were replaced with eight resplendent reindeer, and we also made a new roof, and decorative rounding boards. Almost every component needed the Price’s touch, and now complete with beautiful lighting, and Father Christmas watching over from the centre, this is an amazing addition to any Christmas event.

Our no.2 sleigh ride has a similar story. We bought it at auction and collected it from a derelict amusement park in west Wales. It was in really bad shape, and needed an almost complete rebuild. It was built by the famous R.J. Lakin company of Streatham, and is slightly smaller than our no.1 ride, featuring only six carriages. Originally, it would have featured Muffin The Mule heads on the cars. Muffin was a popular television character in the 1940s and 50s, which is the time that this ride was made. When it came to us, the cars had the heads of another character; Yogi Bear. Once again, we reimagined the ride as a Christmas attraction, and it features all the sleigh bells, and festive cheer, of our no.1 ride.
