We are only the third owners of this ride in its almost 80 years of existence. Made in 1942 by Cyril Coulson, a pipe welder by trade, and his wife Joan, a self taught artist. They saw a gap in the market, to design and make children’s funfair roundabouts. This ride is believed to be the prototype for all Coulson children’s rides that followed. Throughout the forties, hundreds of similar rides were made. Unfortunately, many were scrapped, some had all of the beautiful toys removed, some were made in to chair o planes, and some were modernised with the latest sit on toys of the time. We are proud to say that our ride remains in its original form. It features a wooden train, a tractor, steam ship, traction engine, steam roller, and various other modes of vintage transport. This really is the perfect ride for Youngsters. They can ride over and over, using their brilliant imaginations to change from being a pilot on one spin, to being a racing driver the next.
